Sugar Cookies

By -
1 1/2 C Shortening(part butter)
2 1/2 C Sugar
6 Eggs
1/2 tsp Lemon Extract
1 tsp Vanilla
6 cups Flour
1 tsp Salt
5 tsp Baking Powder

Mix all ingredients together
Chill
Bake 10-12 minutes at 350

I can't take any credit for this. This was ALL Patrice. She made it for us the night of the big "Candy Making Party", and it was a HUGE success. I've never thought that I liked feta cheese. It's probably because I have been scared to eat much of it. I'll even admit that as I watched Patrice put this dip together I was thinking to myself, "That is a lot of feta!" After just one taste, I wondered WHY I hadn't eated more feta cheese before this! Seriously, this dip is that good. olive oil 1 block (1#) of feta cheese tomatoes (any kind)…I use about 3 Roma’s 1 bunch of green onions 1 baguette Greek Seasoning 1. Pour the olive oil into the bottom of whatever pan/platter you are using for the dip. 2. Dice the tomatoes and green onions and put them in the olive oil. 3. Here is another great recipe from one of my favorite recipe blogs. If you haven't checked out "Our Best Bites", you really should. They have lots of great recipes. Billie Jo just bought their cookbook and made an AMAZING birthday dinner for Tim. I can't wait until she posts the recipes.(hint hint) Okay, I guess because she is having a baby tomorrow I will give her a little time. I also attatched their recipe for cilantro/lime dressing because it is SO good to dip these in! I had decided to make these for our Relief Society dinner, but decided it would be a good idea to test them out on the family first. Fresh Fruit Bruschetta

Ready for a trip back to Bear Lake? I am. But since I can't take another week off of work for vacation, I will just have to go there in my mind. These little babies will help. Patrice got an early start on breakfast one morning, just to make this for us. They were so good! I could've eaten them all day long. Patrice had her "Our Best Bites" cookbook out, and graced our bellies with a couple of their wonderful recipes. If you haven't seen their recipe-site, or checked out their book you really should.
