Feta Party Dip

Image
I can't take any credit for this. This was ALL Patrice. She made it for us the night of the big "Candy Making Party", and it was a HUGE success. I've never thought that I liked feta cheese. It's probably because I have been scared to eat much of it. I'll even admit that as I watched Patrice put this dip together I was thinking to myself, "That is a lot of feta!" After just one taste, I wondered WHY I hadn't eated more feta cheese before this! Seriously, this dip is that good. olive oil 1 block (1#) of feta cheese tomatoes (any kind)…I use about 3 Roma’s 1 bunch of green onions 1 baguette Greek Seasoning 1. Pour the olive oil into the bottom of whatever pan/platter you are using for the dip. 2. Dice the tomatoes and green onions and put them in the olive oil. 3. Crumble the feta on top of the tomatoes and green onions. 4. Sprinkle with the Greek Seasoning, about 3 tsp. (Patrice said she found the seasoning at Walmart. It is called Cavender...

Hi, my name is Olivia. I'm an addict. I can't stop pinning. Is anyone else out there addicted to Pinterest? Seriously I could get lost for hours on that site. Well, instead of just taking time to pin things, I decided to actually MAKE some things I have pinned. First were the paradise bakery sugar cookies. Not very good. Next was the guacamole salsa. Another dud. Then I made these. Finally, something that was as good as I hoped. These were amazing. They are a perfect fall treat. So stop wasting time on pinterest and go make these! Fresh Fruit Bruschetta

Ready for a trip back to Bear Lake? I am. But since I can't take another week off of work for vacation, I will just have to go there in my mind. These little babies will help. Patrice got an early start on breakfast one morning, just to make this for us. They were so good! I could've eaten them all day long. Patrice had her "Our Best Bites" cookbook out, and graced our bellies with a couple of their wonderful recipes. If you haven't seen their recipe-site, or checked out their book you really should. They give us wonderful recipes like this! Thanks Patrice, for the amazing breakfast. 1 baguette or similar-sized French bread loaf 4 Tbsp. butter, melted 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon Your choice of fresh fruit. (This is what Patrice used.) 1-1/2 C diced strawberries (about 10 medium strawberries) 1 C blueberries 1 C finely diced kiwi (about 3 kiwi) 1/2 C Sour Cream 3 Tbsp. honey 1 tsp orange zest Preheat oven to 400 degrees. It's A Wrap

When my family vacations at Bear Lake we all take one meal and prepare for everyone. It is the BEST way to vacation. Instead of thinking of, planning for, and packing for meal after meal, we just bring enough to feed everyone for our one meal. It is especially great because everyone does an amazing job and we eat the BEST food when we are there. For my dinner this year I did wraps. We always eat SOOOOOOO much delicious food that we gain 5 pound in the 5 days we are there. I thought these wraps would be not only divine, but a little bit lighter than our usual fare. Most of these are not rocket science. In fact I can hardly call the recipe for the Caesar wrap a recipe at all, but here are a few great ideas for a quick, light, and delicious summer dinner. Caesar Wrap: cubed grilled chicken lettuce Parmesan cheese croutons (if you want a little crunch factor) Caesar salad dressing Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and use as a filling for a tortilla. Buffalo Wrap cubed g...

Peanutbutter Bars

Image
I have many wonderful memories from my Kindergarten days; riding the bus with Joni, Clint, and Cam, playing kissing tag at recess, the wooden kitchen in the play area, gargling my milk at snack time, changing the weather board each morning, and learning that a "couple" meant 2 and not a boy and a girl who hold hands. But one of the best memories I have of Kindergarten are the peanut butter bars we had about once a month. They were delicious. I still love peanut butter bars. Chocolate and peanut butter...what's not to love? I have tried a few recipes over the years and thought that they were pretty good, but once I had these I knew just how good they could be. Hands down, the best recipe for peanut butter bars that I have ever had. I would go home and make some tonight (and every night) if I wasn't trying to get rid of at least one of the rolls that I have round my middle! Thanks Julie for making these for me and bringing back those wonderful Kindergarten memories. Pea...
