Creme Brule French Toast

I got this recipe from my(Chelsea) friend Libby Parr......

1/2 C Butter
1 C Brown Sugar
2 TBS Corn Syrup
1 Loaf sliced Texas Toast
5 Eggs
1 1/2 C Half & Half
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla

1. Melt butter, brown sugar and corn syrup over medium heat while stirring.
2. Pour mixture into greased casserole dish or jelly roll pan.
3. Place slices of bread on top.
4. Mix eggs, half & half, salt and vanilla.
5. Pour on top of bread.
6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
7. Bake @ 375 for 30 minutes.

The first time we had this deliciously indulgent breakfast was Christmas morning, 2009. It will definitely become a new tradition. I served with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
